Where do you claim as home?

Lake St. Clair, Michigan.

What Makers and Artists inspire you and inform your aesthetic?

I'm all over the place but here are my first thoughts: Taika Waititi, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Cam Cruz, Loie Fuller, Auguste Toulmouche, and Alphonse Mucha.

What is your perfect restful day?

I would go on a morning hike with friends to a hidden lake in a forest. We're going to eat lunch there and take a swim. Then I'm coming home alone and, after a loooong shower, binging a new show with a nice bottle of wine (cabernet sauvignon is my favorite in case you were thinking of buying me a gift).

What’s one quality you value in collaborators and what’s one you bring to every collaboration?

I think I value patience the most. I struggle with it so much, so I admire it when I see it. Also, when trying to make devised work patience and trust in the process is essential. For me, I try to bring in a love for the work. With how tedious and frustrating the work can get I try to keep morale high.

If you could only listen to one piece of music for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Truly anything by Ella Fitzgerald. She is easily without a doubt the greatest singer of all time. Every word she sings has so much meaning and beauty. My favorite song vacillates between Misty and Summertime. Gun to my head I would pick Summertime if it was all I can listen to, because it also has Louis Armstrong.

Something underrated?

I have a very real answer, but I’m planning on gatekeeping the series until the day I die. Instead, I’ll say Disco; I stand by the anti-disco movement being homophobic and racist. Justice for Disco.

Multiverse Theory? Exists or not?

I’m not smart enough to say for sure, but I’ll always bet that there’s more that we don’t know than we do.
